Africade Travel is a dynamic travel company formed in 2003 by Claudia Batschari and Richard Boome. We are based in Cape Town, South Africa.


In order to confirm your reservation, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit payment at the time of making your booking. (30% for safari bookings.) Failure to pay this deposit timeously will result in your reservation being cancelled.

The balance of payment is due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 6 weeks prior to departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation.


EFT: Simply make a payment in your own local currency into a local bank account in your own country, and save on all international payment fees, via Exchange4Free, our secure online payment gateway.

Credit / Debit Cards: Make payment with your credit / debit card via Exchange4Free, our secure online payment gateway.
(NB: All card payments are subject to an additional 2.5% bank fee.

Our system currently supports over 40 countries for EFT payments, and over 100 countries for credit card payments. Should your country not be listed, please contact us to make alternative payment arrangements.

Bank Transfer: In the case of a bank transfer, it is your responsibility to inform and instruct your bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into our bank account, and that ALL bank charges are for your account.

PayPal: Make payment via PayPal.
(NB: All payments made via PayPal are subject to an additional 3.9% fee.)

cancellation policy

In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel your booking, we will, wherever possible, adhere to the below cancellation fees.
Please note, however, that the cancellation policy of each individual establishment / supplier will ALWAYS take precedence.

  • 4 – 6 weeks prior to departure: 40% of total booking cost
  • 2 – 4 weeks prior to departure: 60% of total booking cost
  • 0 – 2 weeks prior to departure: 100% of total booking cost

We advise you to take out travel insurance, which covers you in the unlikely event of you having to cancel your holiday.


All clients are advised to take out comprehensive medical and travel insurance covering them for personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses.

You are also advised to take out Travel Insurance with a local Travel Agent or Insurance broker which covers you in the unlikely event of you having to cancel your holiday.


Africade Travel acts in the capacity of tour operator for clients in making their tour arrangements. All bookings, coupons, receipts and tickets issued by Africade Travel are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the suppliers.

Africade Travel shall be exempt from any liability for loss, damage to property, accidents, delays, irregularities or other occurrence beyond its control.

Should there be any change of arrival/departure time and the entry/exit transportation used by the tour, Africade Travel shall not be held responsible for any loss caused thereby.
